Alleluia – Jesus is risen
Mary Magdalena arose “early in the morning” to go to Jesus’ tomb. This image of a new day speaks to us of a new beginning, new opportunities, new encounters. Early morning speaks to us of the freshness of new life. By contrast, this gospel uses the word “tomb” seven times, speaking to us about the seeming finality of Jesus’ death. By even greater contrast, the gospel ends with the Scripture certitude that Jesus “had to rise from the dead.” Death is overcome. Death has no victory. God is the Lord of Life. Easter celebrates a new beginning, our certitude of new life. May we choose that Life.
Thank you to many faithful men and women who have involved in the Triduum (Holy Thursday-Good Friday-Easter Vigil). Your active faith in actualize the passion of Jesus have touched many others reflecting over their faith of our Lord Jesus Christ who have done for us. I hope that all of you, in relive the passion of Jesus, will assist you to grow stronger in your lively faith from now on. Happy Easter. We mourned and now we rejoiced because we are part of the Paschal Mystery: suffering, death to sins, will rise and live in His presence.
Happy Easter to all of you. Today after each Mass our children will have opportunity running like Mary Magdalene to search for good news in Easter Egg Hunting. Easter Egg Hunting is the tradition searching for new life like the egg is hatched and yielded a new life. We will have Easter Egg Hunt after 8AM, 11AM, and 1PM Mass in the back of our parish building. Bring a basket for Easter Egg Hunt.

Aleluya – Jesús ha resucitado
María Magdalena se levantó temprano para ir a la tumba de Jesús. Esta imagen de un nuevo día nos habla de un nuevo comienzo, nuevas oportunidades, nuevos encuentros. La madrugada nos habla de la frescura de una nueva vida. En contraste, este evangelio usa la palabra «tumba» siete veces, hablándonos de la aparente finalidad de la muerte de Jesús. En un contraste aún mayor, el evangelio termina con la certeza bíblica de que Jesús «tenía que resucitar de entre los muertos». La muerte es vencida. La muerte no tiene victoria. Dios es el Señor de la Vida. La Pascua celebra un nuevo comienzo, nuestra certeza de una nueva vida. Que podamos elegir esa Vida.
Gracias a los muchos hombres y mujeres fieles que participaron en el Triduo Pascual (Jueves Santo, Viernes Santo y Vigilia Pascual). Su fe activa al revivir la pasión de Jesús ha conmovido a muchos otros, invitándolos a reflexionar sobre su fe en nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quien hizo por nosotros. Espero que, al revivir la pasión de Jesús, todos ustedes se fortalezcan en su fe viva de ahora en adelante. ¡Felices Pascuas! Lloramos y ahora nos regocijamos porque formamos parte del Misterio Pascual: sufrimiento, muerte al pecado, resurrección y vida en su presencia.
¡Felices Pascuas a todos! Hoy, después de cada misa, nuestros niños tendrán la oportunidad de correr como María Magdalena en busca de buenas noticias en la búsqueda de huevos de Pascua. La búsqueda de huevos de Pascua es la tradición de buscar nueva vida, como cuando el huevo eclosiona y da fruto. Tendremos la búsqueda de huevos de Pascua después de las misas de las 8:00, las 11:00 y la 13:00 en la parte trasera de nuestro edificio parroquial. Traigan una canasta para la búsqueda de huevos de Pascua.
