Message of 23rd Ordinary Time – 09/06/2026

In this Gospel Jesus acknowledges inevitable conflicts arising among those living in the community of the church. Rifts in relationships between members of the church are actually rifts in the relationship with Jesus himself. Not facing whatever fractures the unity of the church belies its gathering in Jesus’ name. Healing fractures ensures that members of the church remain in relationship with Jesus and grow in love for one another. The impulse for resolving conflicts and preserving the unity of the church comes from Jesus himself and his continued presence in the community. The response to Jesus must come from the members of the church and their work of reconciliation.  In our own lives, we know how easy it is to sin against another and how difficult to repair the relationship. Healing and reconciliation are possible when an honest exchange is brought about by the commitment of both to living the mercy, reconciliation, and forgiveness Jesus taught.

REMINDER OF THE WEEK:

  1. I will be gone for a week to take some time off from Sunday last mass September 6th till September 13th evening.  Take care of your parish and yourself.  There will be NO MASSES from September 7th till 11th during the week.  There will be also NO GOSPEL REFLECTION.
  2. Next weekend the 12th & 13th, Rev. David Ampofoh will be speaking for the Mission of Catholic Archdiocese of Gaborone-Botswana.  Please support the Mission.  Please click here for Mission Information.
  3. Our Festival is scheduled on Saturday September 26 from 2PM till 9PM.  Come, meet and support our annual Fall Festival.  We need volunteers to serve on the day.  Sign-up sheet is available here by clicking to see what we need.
  4. There will be ONLY one Mass on Saturday September 26 at 5PM bilingual due to the festival.  NO 7PM MASS.
  5. Faith Formation will begin on September 13 for all levels.  On Sunday September 20th we will receive candidates for OCIA at 8AM Mass.
  6. We are updating parish data system of all membership.  Please cooperate with us to provide your correct information of names, head of the family, members in your family, email, and phone number.  A representative will contact you.
  7. Parish Pictorial Directory is underway.  We still have spaces on Monday September 28 to sign up.  Please call the office.  Families who do not participate in taking photo please send to us your family photo for parish administration.  It will not be published in the Pictorial Directory.  You can send to the email admin@stpaulfw.org
  8. Annual Diocesan Appeal will be announcing of the Weekend of September 19th and 20th.  Our commitment weekend will be October 3rd & 4th.  Annual Appeal is very beneficial to our parish.  In the past 3 years we have receive financial support from Diocesan Appeal.  Please support the Diocesan Appeal.

En este Evangelio, Jesús reconoce los conflictos inevitables que surgen entre quienes viven en la comunidad de la iglesia. Las divisiones en las relaciones entre los miembros de la iglesia son, en realidad, divisiones en la relación con Jesús mismo. No afrontar lo que fractura la unidad de la iglesia contradice su reunión en el nombre de Jesús. Sanar las divisiones asegura que los miembros de la iglesia permanezcan en relación con Jesús y crezcan en amor mutuo. El impulso para resolver conflictos y preservar la unidad de la iglesia proviene del mismo Jesús y de su presencia constante en la comunidad. La respuesta a Jesús debe venir de los miembros de la iglesia y de su labor de reconciliación. En nuestras propias vidas, sabemos lo fácil que es pecar contra otro y lo difícil que es reparar la relación. La sanación y la reconciliación son posibles cuando se produce un intercambio honesto mediante el compromiso de ambos de vivir la misericordia, la reconciliación y el perdón que Jesús enseñó. RECORDATORIO DE LA SEMANA:
  1. Estaré ausente una semana para descansar, desde la última misa del domingo 6 de septiembre hasta la noche del 13 de septiembre. Cuídense mucho, tanto ustedes como su parroquia. No habrá misas del 7 al 11 de septiembre. Tampoco habrá reflexión sobre el Evangelio.
  2. El próximo fin de semana, 12 y 13, el reverendo David Ampofoh hablará en representación de la Misión de la Arquidiócesis Católica de Gaborone-Botsuana. Por favor, apoyen la Misión. Hagan clic aquí para obtener más información .
  3. Nuestro festival se celebrará el sábado 26 de septiembre de 14:00 a 21:00. Ven a conocernos y a apoyar nuestro festival anual de otoño. Necesitamos voluntarios para ese día. Puedes inscribirte aquí; haz clic para ver lo que necesitamos .
  4. Debido a la festividad, solo habrá una misa bilingüe el sábado 26 de septiembre a las 5 p. m. No habrá misa a las 7 p. m.
  5. La formación en la fe comenzará el 13 de septiembre para todos los niveles. El domingo 20 de septiembre, durante la misa de las 8:00 a. m., recibiremos a los candidatos para la Orden de las Islas del Islam (OCIA).
  6. Estamos actualizando el sistema de datos parroquial de todos los miembros. Les pedimos su colaboración para proporcionarnos su información correcta: nombre, cabeza de familia, miembros de su familia, correo electrónico y número de teléfono. Un representante se pondrá en contacto con ustedes.
  7. El directorio fotográfico parroquial está en marcha. Todavía hay plazas disponibles para inscribirse el lunes 28 de septiembre. Por favor, llame a la oficina.   8. La Campaña Diocesana Anual anunciará las fechas del fin de semana del 19 y 20 de septiembre. Nuestro fin de semana de compromiso será el 3 y 4 de octubre. La Campaña Anual es muy beneficiosa para nuestra parroquia. En los últimos tres años hemos recibido apoyo financiero de la Campaña Diocesana. Por favor, apoyen la Campaña Diocesana.
