Second Sunday of Easter – Divine Mercy Sunday
The Divine Mercy Sunday is today, and it is no coincidence that the gospel telling us that Jesus is risen and alive and was viewed and believed His resurrected body by the disciples. What is made clear is that believing is not dependent on physical contact with Jesus (Thomas makes his profession of faith without touching Jesus), but coming to believe does depend on personal encounter. Authentic encounter between persons only happens through mutual self-giving: Jesus’ self-giving is shown through his gift of the Holy Spirit to us; our self-giving is shown when we open ourselves to receive that Spirit. Coming to believe more deeply that Jesus is risen and alive is the work of the Spirit within and among us. What a Gift, a resurrected live!
Our Divine Mercy Service is scheduled at 3PM in Church. Come and pray for one another and the whole world to trust in His mercy. 7 days Divine Mercy candles are also blessed and for household usage can receive at the service with a donation.
Registered Parents and those who are intending to have their children baptized at our parish must register for Baptismal Catechesis IMMEDIATELY in the Office. Check the parish office schedule and register in person with much information is given. The deadline for registration of the Second Semester beginning in May is April 19th. There will be no acceptance of late registration.
All registered parish members who wish to serve in any ministries (Extraordinary of Holy Communion, Sacristans, Readers, Ushers, Ornamentation, Catechesis, Youth Ministry, Guardian, Kitchen Meal, Food Outreach, Thrift Store, and anyone who are volunteer in any ways) at our parish must take Safe Environment. Here is the schedule: (1) English Renewal Protecting God’s Children on Monday April 13 at 7PM; (2) Spanish Renewal Protecting God’s Children on Tuesday April 14 at 6:30PM. Those who are new members we are still pending of the training depend on the number of registrations for English Protecting God’s Children for new members on April 21 at 6:30PM; and (4) Spanish Protecting God’s Children for new members on April 21 at 6:30PM. Please call the parish and register immediately for us to make decision to have classes or not. No one can serve at Mass or at Parish without these training sessions.

Segundo Domingo de Pascua – Domingo de la Divina Misericordia
Hoy es el Domingo de la Divina Misericordia, y no es casualidad que el evangelio nos diga que Jesús resucitó y está vivo, y que los discípulos vieron y creyeron en su cuerpo resucitado. Lo que queda claro es que creer no depende del contacto físico con Jesús (Tomás profesa su fe sin tocarlo), pero llegar a creer sí depende del encuentro personal. El encuentro auténtico entre personas solo se produce mediante la entrega mutua: la entrega de Jesús se manifiesta a través del don del Espíritu Santo; nuestra entrega se manifiesta cuando nos abrimos a recibir ese Espíritu. Creer más profundamente que Jesús resucitó y está vivo es obra del Espíritu que habita en nosotros y nos rodea. ¡Qué don, un resucitado vivo!
Nuestro servicio de la Divina Misericordia se llevará a cabo a las 3 p. m. en la iglesia . Vengan a orar los unos por los otros y por el mundo entero, para que confiemos en Su misericordia. También se bendicen velas de la Divina Misericordia para los siete días de la semana; pueden recibirlas para uso doméstico durante el servicio a cambio de una donación.
Los padres registrados y quienes deseen bautizar a sus hijos en nuestra parroquia deben inscribirse en la catequesis bautismal INMEDIATAMENTE en la oficina parroquial. Consulten el horario de la oficina y regístrense en persona, donde se les brindará toda la información necesaria. La fecha límite para la inscripción del segundo semestre, que comienza en mayo, es el 19 de abril . No se aceptarán inscripciones fuera de plazo.
Todos los miembros registrados de la parroquia que deseen servir en cualquier ministerio ( Extraordinario de la Sagrada Comunión, Sacristanes, Lectores, Ujieres, Ornamentación, Catequesis, Ministerio Juvenil, Guardián, Comedor Comunitario, Asistencia Alimentaria, Tienda de Segunda Mano y cualquier persona que sea voluntaria de cualquier manera ) en nuestra parroquia deben tomar Ambiente Seguro. Este es el horario: (1) Renovación en inglés Protegiendo a los Hijos de Dios el lunes 13 de abril a las 7 p. m.; (2) Renovación en español Protegiendo a los Hijos de Dios el martes 14 de abril a las 6:30 p. m. Para los nuevos miembros, aún estamos pendientes de la capacitación dependiendo del número de inscripciones para Protegiendo a los Hijos de Dios en inglés para nuevos miembros el 21 de abril a las 6:30 p. m.; y (4) Protegiendo a los Hijos de Dios en español para nuevos miembros el 21 de abril a las 6:30 p. m. Por favor, llame a la parroquia e inscríbase de inmediato para que podamos tomar una decisión sobre si habrá clases o no. Nadie puede servir en la Misa o en la Parroquia sin estas sesiones de capacitación .
